I've used pump sprayers to keep an engine running for a few minutes.

R&S and Crummy, Glad to see you both are making great progress on your trucks! thumbs_up

Just a gentle reminder here, since you are both relatively new to Stovebolt. The General Forum Rules say, among other things:

Thanks!

Just beware, If the tank is used it will need to be cleaned out and treated to prevent more rust from forming. My tank in my ‘52 was not leaking and looked pretty good inside aside from a few what appeared to be surface rust. When I checked what it would take to get the tank clean enough to treat plus the cost of the treatment, I bought a new tank. They’re not that expensive, mine was just over two hundred.

Just another option!

The front is coming together nicely.
Got the new door latches and strikers in.
They'll have to be adjusted again, after we put the new door seals in. Soon it will be the new windows and felt.
I hear that can be interesting.
This is the good side.
The other side isn't as far.

That's a different part of the shop. He moved the truck. 😆😆
The truck is turned about a 1/4 turn counter clock wise.

The husband is using a rattle can. It looks nice, until you get close. There is a bunch of body work to be done. He just did primer to keep it from rusting more.
My husband is a rush man and my son is a perfectionist. Not a very good combo for projects. My son understands it's my husband's project, so he keeps quiet about a lot of things. He's pretty smart! 😂😂

Started the wood for the bed.
Got it fitted, now going to take them out, stain them and seal them.
Being from the Nothewest, we opted for pine.
I love knotty pine!

Did a stain on the wood. Going to add a good clear to protect it. He did go over the light areas again. I'll post pictures when the bed is finished.

It's been a while. Had a lot of things going on. Was a bit busy recently with a litter of English bulldog puppies. I still have two boys that need new homes. They keep my pretty busy.

Just ordered suspension parts and a gas tank. Going to get back to work on our project. Will be adding new pictures soon.

You said earlier that the truck was rattle-can painted. May I ask, about how many cans did it take. Also, love the puppies. Looks like they're really enjoying the weather. Really trying for that suntan!!

We received a few of the parts we ordered, but are waiting on a couple that are back ordered.
The hubby installed a couple things.
The picture of the truck was with the lowering leaf springs in stalled. I need to get another with the front lowered too.
He hasn't gotten everything to finish the lowering yet, but thought I'd finally add new pictures.
Any suggestions for where to get the best deal on the bed strips?
