I am trying to take care of every single leak on my 1965 c60. Everything is fixed besides the SM420 PTO output which ill get to eventually. This truck has the Chevrolet two speed corporate axle, the pinion oil seal has obviously been leaking for quite some time. Not to mention in the picture attached the felt washer has apparently decided to disappear. I am looking for part numbers for #3 and #4 in the picture attached. Also for my reference in the future, Do they make a book where it breaks down all these components and the part numbers that were spec'd at the time? Would be awesome to have! I've had very good luck crossing old part numbers when I can find them to new parts. Thanks everyone for your help as always. This forum has been amazing.
When you are using the liquid gasket maker, be sure to add some to the bolt threads themselves along with the mating surface and full around the bolt holes on the mating surfaces. The bolt holes that go into the axle housing are through holes and the back sides are open to the inner housing, thus if only torqued and not sealed, the bolt holes themselves will seep gear oil very slowly.

This is the primary manual I use, sourced via ebay like what Gdads51 linked. I have two others that I cross reference with as necessary, but they aren't nearly as in depth as all 3000 pages of this one.
Its instrumental in finding original part numbers and superceded part numbers that have changed with time.
That felt washer is "nice to have but not really necessary"- - - -or you can make your own from a sheet of wool felt with an X-Acto knife if you really want it to be there. So far as the lip seal goes, just measure the yoke and the housing, and use a progressive size chart from any of the seal manufacturers to pick out the right size and design of seal. That's how I chose the lip seal I use to replace the rear main bearing seal on a stovebolt engine. Jerry
