Hi guys! first post. I have a 1965 Chevy C60 grain truck. 292 L6 SM420 trans. 19500 GVWR. 16' grain dump body. Shes a buet! I went through the front brakes. Replaced shoes, cylinders cause they were ruined, Hoses. All working well now. Issue I'm having is finding the front brake hardware kit for this. Found the shoes from parts geek ( but the hardware is not correct they list.) cylinders from Napa. Anyone have an old part number or even better a new one? Right now I've got the old stuff back on, it was not terrible but it wasn't great either.
Edit- Forgot to mention the fronts are the 14"x2.5" not the 15"x3" i see everywhere else

Welcome AK. Nice looking Big Bolt there. I see you have also posted a wheels deal in the Swap Meet. We think you'll get some responses here about the brake hardware kit here once a few more folks show up at our "virtual garage."
Your truck reminds me of this one we had on the cover of the 2023 Working Bolts calendar.

Hi AKrause, welcome. I think you would have some luck at Napa auto parts or if you have a big truck shop near, you could drop in just for advice. I would think Cleveland/Akron area would be a good trucking center.

I used to own a 65 C60 identical to yours. Same two tone green, cab with white top, with red grain bed. I thought it was my old truck until you said it had a 6 cylinder in it. Mine had a small block V8 under the hood.

H9206 is a part number that works under Bendix and some other brands. I have several sets stashed in my basement but it would take a while to locate. Here's a link to some on Ebay for $15.
No problem! After going through my notes I also remembered that the 5000lb front axle uses the same parts from 1965-1972. Be sure and check the other years that will still fit yours.
For example, on Rock Auto they don't list a brake hardware kit for your 1965 but they do list one for 1967 (Dynamic Friction 370-47024). Good luck!
Went through all of this a few years back. If you are still having troubles with the hardware kit, NAPA PN: UP2474 is the maxi pack that will work. You will need two of them (assuming doing both fronts) and will only use half of the hardware in them, but it has everything needed to replace all the hardware.
Take care of the star brake adjusters. They are not able to be sourced. Time, heat, and penetrating oil are your friend if they are being stubborn. The front shoes are still able to be sourced, but you are SOL on the rear shoes and springs. Keep the springs in good condition when you disassemble and send the shoes off to be relined.
