Find out what the backspace and offset are on the Tacoma rims and compare the numbers to the Chevy specs.

Thanks was just wondering as I see quite a few for sale as I was thinking of a set for my Tacoma for winter and realized that the bolt pattern is the same as the old trucks I will take a look at my spare in the spring and see how it fits .they also come in several sizes from 15 inch rims to 18 or larger .
Do they come in plane steel wheels or are they all some crazy "mag" style design?

The caliper clearance problem can usually be solved with a thin spacer plate between the hub flange and the wheel. Not the Mickey Mouse cast aluminum deathtraps with the separate studs, the flat discs that slip over the original studs. I used spacers on my RAM 1500 when I swapped to 16" wheels from the original 17s. The shorter wheel/tire combination gave me a better highway cruise speed with the engine at its RPM sweet spot. The OEM wheels had me cruising at 75+ MPH, which was an invitation to a speeding ticket. Better gas mileage also, without the torque converter toggling in and out of lockup constantly! Jerry

I had them on my truck and they do not have the right backspace. They require a spacer. The rear end I had in it required a pair of 2" spacers because of the width of the rearend. I changed the rearend and got Chevrolet wheels an sold the wheels to someone with a Tacoma. The front tires rubbed the tie rods without spacers.
