I am trying to identify holes in the firewall and toe board that I no longer need to preserve as I plan to breathe life back into my old '52 3100. After referring to the FAM, Sect 1 Sheet 3.19, I am still baffeled by the enclosed, two holes in the replacement metal for part of the passenger side tow board (pictures included, long shot and close up). Please enlighten me if you can identify their purpose (other than to confuse old men trying to do things right). Thanks

Interesting. There are no holes there on my original toeboard on my '51. Looks like someone at the factory got a little crazy with the hole punch. ohwell

I'd say, weld 'em closed.

If you're smart enough to take it apart, you darn well better be smart enough to put it back together.
