On an early 1955 3100

How do you separate this type of connector, the proper way?

These are from the turn signal wiring harness.

The big end of the connector has a male "push-on" tab that slips into the plastic and then into the female socket, just pull and wiggle gently, probably oxidized and fused together a little.
