Recent news -- the extreme dry conditions in TN have been the subject of a number of wildfires, the latest of note has been in the Townsend area.

The closest fire to us here in Crossville, has been in Crab Orchard, about 12 miles away. Under control now, but you could see it from I40.

Archie, I hope you and Linda are prepared to bug out. Wildfires are not something to take lightly, please be careful. I 'ĺl check in on Dave and his family.

I contacted Dave Hoque from the Townsend Show. He said the Fires got pretty close, I few had to evacuate. No one had any damage, Dave praised their Volunteer Fire Department for all the great work they did keeping the flames at Bay.

As a side note I would like to put a plug in for the Townsend AD Truck Show . All off the proceeds from the Show stay in Townsend to benefit local organizations, like the Volunteer Fire Department.
