Looking online, I cannot seem to find the rubber seal for the rear-most side window (fixed) on my '57 Suburban. Sure, I see Steele rubber has them, but I really cannot afford Steele's prices... Any other source? Thanks!

His Tech Tip also refers to this original conversation on the topic. In there he indicates the 1960-66 Chevy and GMC Suburban fixed rear window gasket is the same as for your 1957 Suburban. A whole bunch cheaper than the Steele product and maybe helpful for your need. I would note though that the reputation for "Steele" products is pretty much at the top of most everyone's chart for quality and proper design/fit. Many folks will tell you, yup it may be the most expensive, but also the least hassle and best product in the long run. Your choice on which way you want to go. Let us know how your glass project comes along.

I know that Steele has a very good reputation, but my truck is rather the "patina", daily driver-style, half of it in primer for the last 10 years with rust holes, so I do not want nor need the Steele quality! You will indeed hear from me again about my side windows in the next few months, as I will restore a sliding window and turn a fixed window into a siding window, and I will probably have questions... Thanks
EDIT: it is interesting that on the Steele catalogue, they have the rear quarter window weatherstrip for '55-'59, but not for '60-'66; it seems to imply that they are not the same... Maybe someone can confirm either way?

Steele does have the rear quarter window weatherstrip for 1966 (not '60 or '61), but it has molded, square corners, so a no go as is for me. On the other hand, they show the cross-section, and it is indeed the same as the '55-'59. So, I should be able to buy the part you linked for me, on Classic Parts. But then, if it is the same cross-section (as per Steele), why isn't Classic Parts showing it as a '55-'59 too? Thanks for helping think and make some progress in my search!
