We've got more pictures (of course!) but this will at least give you an idea of what he's up to. Peggy

I had a V6 Jimmy like that firetruck once. It was bulletproof. | | | | Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,440 Extreme Gabster | Extreme Gabster Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,440 | Great saga. MONGO | | | | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 719 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 719 | Oh man, what a trip, literaly! SO glad that while getting "tater home was a fiasco, it wasn't all that bad. I had a 2 day trip from Los Angeles to central WA turn into 4 days (3 of them going 10 miles at a go in Oregon, with much under-car time between). Thankfully that car had a lot of sleeping room and I have a good sense of humor. I suppose it's a bit late to bring up that most states have what they call a trip permit, allows you to drive an unregistered vehicle for a day or two just to get it from A to B. Was how I drove 'Tater, that had last been registered as a farm truck in '76, part of the way home w/o encurring the wrath of the state police. Cool use for an old tanker tho, great idea. 1956 GMC 370 dump " 'Tater "1970 VW Volksrod "the Black Bomber" 2007 Chevy Avalanche 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, 2005 Harley Davidson FLHTCUI I dig all cars, old and new, whether they were hammered out of American iron, German steel, or Japanese tin cans. Being unable to appreciate them all is missing out on a world of great things. But thats just MY opinion! :P

You should have been a writer. | | | | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 184 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 184 | I must say that this is the most entertaining bit of writing I've read in a long time. I was at work for the original saga and I nearly fell out of my chair laughing.
It's great to see all that ends well. It's also a prime candidate for a working bolts calendar page!

What he's got so far is really good. (So ... bug him ! I mean, encouage him. Oh, and rain -- that'll keep him indoors ) Peg
