Hi all. Next step in Stella’s disassembly is to remove the bed. Just 4 bolts are holding it down. Then i need to separate the four panels. The front and sides appear to be bolted togather. The rear sill seems to be combination of bolts and two welds that will need to be cut before it will separate.
Am i seeing this correctly? There were originally two bolts on each side connecting the rear sill to the bed sides. The upper bolts had been previously sheered off and the holes filled. I guess the welds suprised me. Not mig spot welds but 2” long welds.
Yes, that's similar to how the AD beds were assembled. You'll need to take a cutoff wheel on a grinder and grind the welds away At least yours are in a corner. The AD's used a weld down the stake pocket that's lapped over the cross sill, so a little more difficult to cut loose without making a mess.

Thanks for the info. I’ll dig up the stake seam to see if the weld continues. Im picking up some new cutting wheels for my angle grinder. So far, I’ve gotten by with some dremmel cutting wheels. Time to bring out the big guns.
