Hello, This is my '66 that my Dad bought me in 2017. We're restoring her together, though progress has slowed recently due to work and college. She's got a numbers correct 283 that I presume is probably her factory motor. The photos of the intact truck are from 2017, the others are now.
Welcome to Stovebolt. Love the 65-66 style. The longest journey begins with the first step. Looks like you are on your way. Just lets us know how what you need. We're all here to help. Its amazing what just 15 minutes every day will accomplish.
Yes, Welcome. What a neat looking truck for a Father-son project.
If you hadn't had a chance to look around our "virtual garage" yet, you'll find you can get the bulk of your questions answered in The SHOPS Area. If you want to confirm any engine numbers, that'll be Engines.
If you feel so inclined, we have a 60-66 area that you might also check out.

A hearty Welcome too from another Missouri Bolter!
Your Father/Son project looks to have very good bones and already a good bit of progress.
Since you show you're located in the Rolla area, that puts you right in the Midwest Bolters Association (MBA) region of Stovebolt. After you get comfortable here, feel free to go introduce yourself in the MBA Sidelot forum. While you're in that forum, checkout some of the recent MBA Roundup Event news as we just held our annual Fall Roundup in Independence MO.
Looking forward to seeing and hearing more on your truck.
Dan
