Gentleman for the life of me I cannot get oil pressure readings of the Factory or 2 different aftermarket Autometer gauges. The gauge is 0-14 PSI. Engine is quite and runs very smooth ??????????????????

Have you verified that oil is actually flowing out of the tube that goes to the gauge? Maybe there's a clog at the port

Try putting some air pressure into the gauge port to clear any clogs it might have. It's not uncommon for a 216 to have very low oil pressure, but "zero" is a bit too low. Try disconnecting the gauge line and running the engine for a few seconds- - - -you should get at least a trickle if the oil pump is working. There's always the possibility of a clogged pump pickup, or a stuck relief valve at the pump. Checking both of those problems would require dropping the oil pan.

Has the distributor been removed recently? It's possible to get the oil pump drive tang on the bottom of the distributor shaft misaligned and stop the pump from turning.
