1961 Chevrolet C-70. Rescued from the Baltimore docks after a failed shipment to Australia. This truck might ave been sent to the crusher if not for sympathetic port authority officials in Charm City... It originated in South Dakota.
Currently safely stashed in Southern Maryland while paperwork returns from Australia. The Leadership team of the Baltimore-Washington Chapter of the ATHS is actively seeking to rehome this orphan.
The 283 appears to run strong. It is a dumping flatbed. New windshield 5-spd with 2-speed rear
Neat truck

Too bad it doesn't still have the originally installed 348 (per data plate pic).
Either way, it is a nice rescue and pretty sure a proper "rehoming" will happen in the near future.

It *would* make a nice asset at the NAPCO Compound.

Nope- - - -the pic with the steering wheel and dash in it show enough of the valve covers to identify it as a small block- - - -265, 283, 327, 350, etc. 348/409 engines have wide W shaped covers similar to a GMC V6. Hard to tell any more accurately without seeing the stamped ID number ahead of the driver's side cylinder head. Jerry
