ok thanks for redirecting my post.

I am learning how to use this cool site; computer use difficult to understand. unable to send a pic.

Rebuilding a model B carb that is on a 1953 3800 216.

How do I rotate the pump discharge guide, so I can remove it, the spring, and the ball?

I am using the Chevrolet Truck Shop Manual 1948-1951 Thx somerust

Hi again. Shown as 2 on the image attached. Simply grip it with needle-nosed pliers and pull upwards. It should slip right out. The spring is connected to it.

It is held in place by the flat area between 7 and 8 on the image below as well as the air horn to float bowl gasket.
