in the process of replacing padding and covers for the original frame on bench seat
Does anyone have an idea of the finished thickness of 1954 bench seat after replacing all padding and cover ?
I am using new burlap, rubberized horse/hog hair 3/4", 1/2" medium density foam and 100% cotton batting and want to make sure I do not overstuff
the cover. I am using is original maroon Spanish Grain from Classic Chevy Parts

I have done a pickup, panel, suburban. (you probably have a pickup or panel?)

I did not worry about overstuffing.

(I have done all three; but, I have not done the 1954 small-truck that cannot be referenced-to here).

found the back of seat was easier after digging out the old clips
tip for others was the new clips installed with angled hog ring pliers with out tearing vinyl
bottom seat cushion was more difficult and could have used another 1" of material
