Does it have connections for heater hoses? TropicAire produced car and plug-in electric heaters back in the 30's-50's (maybe later). A web search comes up with lots of varieties of TropicAire heaters. There were no factory installed heaters, so a number of manufacturers filled the need, including Harrison, the main supplier of heaters for our trucks.

After a bit of web searching, found a picture of this old advertisement for a Tropic-Aire Model TA-49 vehicle heater.
This would have been an aftermarket heater, not purchased or installed through the dealer if I understand correctly.
I tried searching for more info or details, but didn't come up with anything specifically for that unit.
