May have asked this question before--getting old and forgetful. But---does anyone have any pictures and or dimensions that will give me info on painting the pin striping on wheel for a 1950 3100 series? Years ago when I first started getting my truck back up into original condition, I remember that the wheels had pin striping on them. Dumb me did not take pics/measurements before I sent the wheels out to be powder-coated. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Nice Kevin. I try to take pics of all my parts/pieces before I do anything with them. Partially because without a pic I have a hard time remembering what I started with and partially for when questions like this pop up.

1. If your 47-55st wheel has/had pinstripes, the technique used for striping them was: - put the wheel on a bench/vice-mounted front spindle - spin the wheel - touch the wheel with a a fine-tipped paint-laden paint-brush in the appropriate locations
2. If your truck has/had the 1954/55st accessory full-wheel covers, those wheels we're not pin-striped.
Ya, that's pretty much the only way to do it, except I'd leave the wheels on the truck and raise the vehicle to a comfortable height.

Otto, I plan on trying to do this myself. I planned on leaving the wheels on the truck, jack it up and set up a steady rest, get the little bride to spin the wheel while I apply the stripe. We will see how that all works out!
Turn the wheel with your left hand and hold the brush with the right. Somebody else is not going to be able to turn it at the speed you need to match your paint brush.
If you have some old rims, I'd mount them up and practice
