Hi everyone!
I'm Gil from Porto, Portugal.
I'm currently working on a fire truck from my local corporation. It has a 1957 235 in it that isn't working. Trying to figure what's wrong with the engine and then will processed to assembly the rest of the truck (someone previously disassembled part of the truck.. and wasn't able to put it back together).
We don't have stores selling American car parts here in Porto, so I Will definitely need your help identifying parts and online stores to get them!

Welcome to the Stovebolt Gil!

Alvin is right about where you can find fellow Stovebolter's. Check out the International Zone forum and post in there to say hello to other folks from Europe. You may be surprised to find someone closer than you think, AND who will be able to probably help you with finding parts and resources for your truck.

The other spot Alvin mentioned where you may want to post is The Stovebolt Fire Department forum. A very helpful place for folks sharing knowledge and information about "Fire Trucks"!

You may also want to check out the Big Bolts forum as "Big Bolt" trucks were the base of what became your fire truck.

One last note. grin Please post some pictures of your truck. The folks that make up this fine site (that includes you now too) love to see what you have.

Looking forward to seeing pictures of your truck and more conversations in the various forums. shake

Dan

Yes, welcome. It does sound like an interesting project. I bet some folks will be able to help with the parts questions. We've been pleasantly surprised at what's out there. Believe it or not, there are four people listed in the directory who used "Portugal" as their location. Could be more.

69Cuda is the Moderator for the Stovebolt Volunteer Fire Department, so it'll be a good place to post a few of your questions.

Bem-vindo
