I need to find a front brake drum, hub, and bearings (whole assembly) for a '41 ton and a half. What years will interchange? It seems that I heard or read somewhere, that they were the same thru '52, is that correct?

John

You might be able to answer your own question by looking at the Old Chevy Online Manuals/Parts catalog here:

truckernix, Thank you, smile at least now I have some casting numbers that I can look for, and a general idea on possible years.

stonecutter, nope, looks like '39 thru '57 were the years for the drum, and '41 thru '55 (1st.) were the years for the hub.

Way too cold outside now, -5 tonight eek and maybe teens for highs this weekend. I think I will investigate casting numbers after the temps warm up to at least low 30s and sunny.

Thanks

John

I have a '41 1 1/2 ton that is going to be a parts donor for a '41 1/2 ton and a '42 military 1 1/2 ton. I don't think I'll have a need for the front drums and hubs, but it will be a while before I can get to taking it apart. Send a PM if you don't find any closer to you and we can see if they will work for you.

Joe, I will keep that in mind. Going to keep looking closer to home for now.

Thanks

We are parting a 54 or 55 1st. it,s either 1 1/2 or 2 ton model. The truck is in central Mo. but my partner pulls parts & brings them to the K.C. area.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.
