I got a question, anybody using a shock bar. I have installed a 1969 12 bolt truck rear end and I need to connect my shocks. All pictures and suggestions will be thoughtful.

What's a shock bar? Is that another name for an anti-sway bar?

I have seen shock bars for unibody vehicles, but never for one with a frame.

That is assuming you mean a bar to connect the tops of the shocks and keep them from being able to wobble independantly (like the more common strut bars).

If you mean an anti-sway bar, there are many choices available.

OP is putting a new rear end in a 1950 3100.

I installed a 10 bolt Camaro rear end. My shocks are mounted to the frame with heavy angle iron. Use the heavy stuff - not bedframe material!

Is this what you had in mind? This came with a 1954 parts truck I bought but I did not need it. It is 2” thick wall tubing with end plates welded on both sides. Small thick spuds with holes for 7/16-inch bolts to mount the shocks pass through the main tube. The spuds are welded on both sides of the tube. The shock bolts are located 8 inches from each side and 28 inches between. Total 44 inches wide. I have not tried to fit it on a truck. You may have to adjust to fit your year truck. I believe it bolts between the frame rails above the new rear axle with ½ inch bolts[img]http://[/img][img]http://[/img]

The tube shock mount and shocks pictured in my previous post are not for sale. Only responding to the OP’s initial question.

Gord do you have any pictures of your rear shock set up. Did you weld the angle to a block of square tubing

Welded the angle to an angle. Other end of the shock mounts to plate from donor car. Picture attached.
