That's normal, as long as the end play isn't excessive. If it's got .010" or less end play, no problem, and I've seen engines with a lot more.

The front one is 2.3010 and the rear is 2.3016. Based on this what bearing size do I need? measured all 6 and they were between 2.3010 and 2.3016
Crap now I am wonder if I an reading the gauge right. the number showing is 3 and the number on the dial is on 10 perfectly on 4 of the journals.
On the other it is on the 3 and the dial is right above the 10 so I go with 10 and then the next number to line up is the 6. So maybe it should be 2.31 and 2.316 hmmm
Ok, I watched a YouTube video and see it should be 2.310 I think the one I got at 2.316 was me or the tool since all the others are 2.310

"Measure twice- - - -order bearings once!"
