I continue to make small progress on Hercules. I was able to get the other front hub off with the help of a BFH and my brother-in-law. I've got all the brake components out and I seem to be running into a bit of confusion when I search the part number on the wheel cylinders. They are cast with Wagner Lockheed FE 3067 and 3068. When I search the numbers, I get all sorts of cylinders that come up. It seems that Dorman W8853 is what comes up most of the time. Does anyone have any info on other part number that this would cross reference to? Or even a link to a good cross reference site. Thanks

I'm not sure what the question is here...if you Google search both of those part numbers you get tons of hits....Dorman and Raybestos have them. Rock Auto has them on clearance at $8.05 each...can't buy a rebuild kit for that!

Hy Saw Mill, as Mike has said, RockAuto has Raybestos p/ns WC8852 $8.05 and WC8853 $17.91. Napa has their p/ns UP 8852 and UP8853 for $50.50 each, hope that helps.

Anyone have a part number for rear wheel cylinder? I have a 6400 with Huck brakes, two cylinders per wheel.

The screen shot below is the brake cylinder data you asked about for your '52 6400 (Utility) with Huck brakes taken from the 1929-57 Master Parts Catalog.

Here are a couple of links to a site I found when searching more info on the original GM part numbers. Each page gives a long list of manufacturer part numbers that cross-reference to the original GM #'s. Further searching on the web for those numbers (I only did a sample check) show they are easily/readily available from various prices. The original GM#'d parts are also offered by Chev's of the 40's too. I didn't include the links but they are easy to find if you use the GM#s to search.

Thanks for the info. Finditparts.com crossed it to a Raybestos number and Rockauto.com carries the part for $20-30 less than anyone else.

On my last trip I had less brake power on the front axle.
I took the drum down and saw that the wheel brake cylinder is leaking.
Now I want to change all of them. There are two cylinders per side, top and bottom installed.

But as always I have problems finding.
I saw some at Rockauto that should fit visually. However, the description says axle load.
Cylinders for 7000 pounds, 9000 pounds and 11000 pounds.
Unfortunately I do not know what I have mounted for an axle. It is a 1966 Chevrolet c60, 6.0 l 366 cui (Firetruck).
I took pictures of the cylinders (The start number is the same, the end numbers are different). Unfortunately I can't get any further with the numbers.
I hope again for the best forum.

Hy Dixon, it appears your truck has the 7000 lb. front axle and your wheel cylinder bore is actually 1.125". the wheel cylinders are Raybestos part numbers WC8852 and WC8853 both are $18.75 United States dollars at Rockauto, hope that helps.

They did not list them as an application for my son’s 46 2 ton.
Though the bore size listed was the same as was on my truck.
So I ordered them and they were a perfect match in every way.
