2010 - The Sixth Annual Stovebolt Reunion in Kansas City (MO)
A place-holder for now, as I pull out some more details. Seems like for a little bit, the info is in pockets here and there. Found several years of photos in our major "pictures" folder on the hard-drive. Seems we were taking lots of pictures from a lot of *life* (personal, family, farm, Stovebolt) and it was easier to put them in one folder, and sort from there.
Maybe some of you can pick an image or two or three from these and explain what's happening or who's who. I see a bunch of friendly faces and familiar trucks!
For years, we had been giving a Hot Wash to the ODSS group once we got home. Tried and tried to convince them that going to Kansas City was well worth the trip. Well, hoyaaa! This was the year. (I'll leave John to do some 'splaining on that ... especially since there are plenty of pictures that can help tell the story!)
Looks like another big group. Got that picture here for starters. And another year for the purple shirts!
Anyone who wants to post comments, remembrances, or photos from 2010, please do. Or earlier years ... see the four years already set up: 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and this one.
Thanks, Peg

Yeaahhhhhh..... The year Grigg and George made the trek out with the NAPCOBurb. I think the biggest thing about that one (other than being initially glad George was coming and could help me in my on-going battle with Rusty Rod ... yah right -- those two buddied up and turned on me. A couple of Blue Falcons fer shur) was being a part of George's pit crew for the NAPCOBurb and going over to watch it get judged (and get a trophy of course). Afterwards, because the truck had gotten all the top awards possible at that point, including the ACCA Senior Award, etc, George allowed a few of us to actually get in it and ride back to the Stovebolt Area. It was huge. We were the first people, other than George himself, to actually get in the truck since the restoration. Leo was part of that. Possibly Scott ... and Grigg, naturally. We were all scared to death that we might leave a blade of grass or a speck of dirt in it ...
In the picture, I see George lurking right behind Alvin.

Okay. Since John added some here, I came across some more pictures.
And Leo ... check this last photo.
Cletis had the best pictures of George's NAPCO with some cool close-ups. I have a few of the funny ones here.
George with his JUDGING sign. And a few of the judges and the one with George watching. The last of that series is the back of heads ... John talked about being able to ride in the NAPCO.
Don't want to run out of "pix space" for the next batch.

There was a good bit of signing going on. Not real sure about the truck. Don't remember. Did Builder start something with us signnig the IRWIP truck. The IRWIPI truck story in 2007 Reunion write-up.
Surely someone remembers and can identify the very neat truck.

Here's the last of the my pictures to upload. We have a whole file folder of Bill Anderson's collection, and our visit there. One of these days (ya right), we can try to upload them. (Have to get a new platform first ... Bolt Bucket is beyond full.)
