In the attached photo there is a bumper and a guide shown on the engine side of the firewall I cannot find those parts in any catalog. Are those two parts available anywhere or can I fabricate them or are the actually necessary? Thanks
The bumper you can cut out of a piece of old tire tread. I thought I bought one from Jim Carter, but don't see them there now. As far as the guide, I think that's just a washer.
[on edit] The FAM shows the "guide" as a square piece with a hole for the shaft. I think that might be the seal that goes in the pocket on the brace for the parking brake assembly. JC has those made of felt and leather. Link

Well that's funny, I actually have that felt seal and bumper that you sent a link to. Thought it was an incorrect part. So the thin rubber goes into the pocket and felt goes on the outside of the pocket and that is the bumper. Vedy intadesting,,, Sgt Shultz would say
