Hi all, I’ve been a guest user of this site for a long time.
My father and I have enjoyed a 1950 2dr Styleline Deluxe for the last 20 years and have benefited from the information here along the way.
Recently I purchased a 1953 Chevrolet 3803 Cab & Chassis Truck fitted with a Daybrook Dump Body. Looking to share this one with my kids and get it running well enough to run around town with a long term goal of being reliable enough to become a seasonal driver.
It’s an older restoration and sat in a barn for a long time, but hope to get out and meet other members here around Jacksonville, FL.

That's an awesome truck. The dump bed is a bit unique.

Like others above have noted, your truck is quite unique with that dump bed.
Interested in learning more about it as you can share.

Welcome to the "BOLT", I'm just north of you in Brunswick Ga. I love the dump body on your truck, for an older restoration it seems to be in great shape. Be sure to check in with the Southern Bolters Forum, there are quite a few members in Fla. and even a couple of more from Jacksonville.

Glad to have you at our "virtual garage." As you need help with the restoration, be sure to check out The Shops Area. The different "bays" in there can help with specific issues.
The Search feature (at the top menu and in the left column) will be a huge tool to get use to.
Glad to see you figured out how to post images. This group can't get enough pictures.
On a personal note, really like the dump body. Give me a truck that dumps and a trailer that dumps any day!
Look forward to seeing you around.

Thanks everyone, your comments are much appreciated.
I don’t know too much about this trucks history. I bought it from the Mecum Fall Farming Auction and it had come down from Wisconsin.
The original paint color was Omaha Orange and believe this cab and chassis was fitted with the Daybrook 33 Twin Hoist & C-6 Dump Body (2YD) when new. This combo leads me to believe it started life in Municipal Fleet Service.
Will drop an intro on the Southern Bolters Forum and plan to start a thread on the Project Journals forum to document this journey.
