I read somewhere, that maybe bushings were bad? I bought all new linkage? Just a note that it may help folks answer your question if we know more about what "electric" product you purchased/installed???
Also helps to know "what" it is installed in??? (Year/make/model, etc.)
Once we know, folks with similar equipment/set-ups can chime in to offer some help.

On one, I had to shorten the right side transmission arm to keep it from binding everything up, preventing me from adjusting the motor position to get full sweep of either blade.
You may want to contact New Port and see if they can help you.
If they cannot help you, I suggest that you only connect the left side wiper transmission arm to the motor and adjust the motor position to obtain full sweep and proper park position when you turn it off.
Once you have that done, with the motor off, put the end of the right side transmission arm on the motor and see what you need to do to get full sweep out of the right wiper in terms of lengthening or shortening the left side transmission arm.

They were not exactly an easy install, but the instructions were easy to follow. Didn’t have any problems with testing afterwards. Worked well in the only light rain event encountered since. Most, if not all, my street rod buddies have used the product too and at least from my recollection they never complained about having a problem either. I’m certain a couple of them being as they were, meticulous to almost maddening, would have said something since they were in the group of guys I talked to about a product recommendation. | | |
