I need to remove the fuel tank too clean it. It looks like it should come out without too many problems. Can it be done without removing the seat? Thanks Stan

You might be able to work it out with only the seat back removed.
But I believe it will be worth your time to remove the entire seat. The tank needs to wiggle some to get the neck below the cab skin.

If you get it out with the seat still on the floor let us know. I have always done it with seat removed, but I am interested in what you experience.

My son an I just replace my 66 C20's tank.
I actually put the thank alone, then my son tied evrything together.
It can be done without to much trouble.
Watch out for the gas gauge wire.
Put the neck on loose and place the tank. Adjust the neck so it doesn't stick out to far.
Pull the tank again and tighten the neck, the put the tank in and tie it down.
Good luck and stay safe.
