Hi all,
Anyone know where to get this? Is adjustment on the front stock drums to push UP^ on both sides of drum cylinder wheel things to tighten brakes? (just making sure!) wave

These might be of help. Extracted copies form the '38 Shop manual posted here: Chevy Old Car Manual Project - '38 Shop Manual

I have never used a brake adjustment tool, just a screwdriver that fits through the slot and big enough to turn the star wheel.

Every one I've ever used are a double ended, at different angles which make it easier, a lot easier than a screwdriver. The vintage parts suppliers would probably have them.

Harbor freight and Northern tool both carry the brake spoon.

This is what you want! Way better than a screwdriver! Remember, if one bangs knuckles on bottom of spring, that is tightening brakes.
