Well... we got the 57 Nomad engine in the 54 3100 today, put the front clip back on, installed the exhaust and got it ready to fire up, BUT... the gas pedal rod did not fit. WAAAH. I used the same linkage from the pulled 216 boss mounted on the front boss of the Nomad 235. Thought it would work BUT it didn't. Thinking about taking the entire linkage off and using the linkage from the tired old 57 6400 back on the rear boss. Thoughts?

Did you use the front boss or the rear? I took the connection off the 216 and mounted it on the front boss of the 57 235. Couldn't depress the pedal. Geometry did not seem right. Slept on it and will try again today. Jethro.

I have a ‘59 235 in a ‘52 3100 and I used the 216 setup on the front boss. Works perfect!

I figured it out... the manifold is a low rise 3754644. The 57 261 is also a 3754644. That linkage has a different offset kink to clear the manifold and worked perfect. Also used its gas pedal linkage. Worked perfect.

Couple of picks. 1st is a 216 rod. 2nd is rod designed for the 3754644 low rise intake. Made to clear the intake, and came off or a 57 261 6400.
