Okay paint stick pics I have, (just wish I had one of my 59 I used to have). I've been looking for the marks on trucks forsale,(standing in front of trucks for L and R, and firewall marks) a 59 Chev pickup light color body paint, with the engine forsale had a big dark "S" just to the right of the battery about 5 or so inches tall, and a "W" about the same height on the panel above the parking brake rod.
I think this one is a 58 GMC not sure what size truck, dark green body paint, white paint stick has a 23 on the cowl above the ridge in the center the 3 has the same curly at the bottom that the 2 normally has, the battery is gone and there is cursive writing behind the battery, I can't make it out at this time it is written diagonally, then in the distributor or valve cover clearance hump in the center of firewall is written diagonally at about 45 degree angle on top 607 then cursive that may be DRG or DEG with a 23 after it, then below that looks like a 4 W.
I will continue this later when I can, as there are more pics to study.

| | | | | Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 1,362 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 1,362 | Another one a lighter green body paint not sure the brand, its either 58 or 59, the person put a v8 with after market air cleaner obscuring some of the paint stick mark, of "31" and it looks like the 3 I mentioned before with the curly bottom? Maybe the same person doing the marking?
A Turquoise 58 or 59 chev, inline six engine, in the hump a 49 close to driver side and a 65 close to pass side.
Most of these are written like the cab was on its side passenger door down.
A larger 58 or 59 brand? Yellow body paint and black paint stick, one pane in from the horn relay an H and then a squiggle (can't make it out) then a B below that. Some numbers in the hump only make out a 1.
Same thing either people write good vertically or the cab is on its side.
I don't think it would be allowable to post the pictures since they likely belong to the websites.
I hope others can join in this, and help decipher what they all mean.
