You know the ones that pop up and don't have a "Reply or Edit" button.
Why not have a special dumping area for the basically worthless threads that no one can add to or edit if they have messed up a word etc.
That way we know they are not functioning threads, instead of going crazy like I do trying to figure out if I am logged in or what.

If we move them to a "dump", the valuable information (if there is any) would be harder to find. If they stay where they are, they're at least in the correct category.

If you run across a thread that's completely worthless, let the moderator know (there's a little flag on the upper right of each post for that) and they can make the decision on where to put it.

As far as trying to figure out if you're logged in, look at the upper right of the page. If you're logged in, your username will appear there.

Threads that are locked will have a padlock symbol. They are still visible but cannot be responded to. Threads that are deleted are no longer visible. It’s all part of site housekeeping and is not up for debate.
