I knew that I was not making the proper voltage from my 6v generator. I did a few tests such as bypassing the regulator, belt etc. Took a lead wire to try and polarize the generator. Many tries but now luck. Check the jumper wire with my ohm meter, every thing look good. For some reason I sandpapered both ends of the lead, low and behold I got a nice spark, my ammeter on the dash came alive and my multimeter confirmed. Now I'm making over 7v and I'm now a happy owner of Blanche our 1950 chev truck

blanch53 Good for you ! I was going over my pile found a clean regulator I wish I could get to you,however not a Delco probably like western auto or another one.
