I'm looking to replace all my fuel lines in the near future. I'm not sure as to the sizes from the tank to the pump and the pump to the carb. I've read that it's 5/16 to the pump and 1/4 from the pump to the carb. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks

You didn't specify a year, but all small 55.2-60 GMC trucks use these per the 1960 GMC Master Parts Book with no reference to a specific engine. Further inspection of the MPB shows that the fitting on the carb is for 5/16" tubing, so tank to pump would be 1/4" and pump to carb would be 5/16".

That may be a typo. the suction (feed) line to the pump is usually bigger than the discharge (pressure) line.
1st rule of hydraulics: avoid intake restrictions.
