My recently purchased 1953 3100 has been converted to a 12 volt solenoid starter. I want to return it to the foot starter (stomp starter) configuration). I already have the necessary linkage and starter. A plate has been welded over the foot start hole in the floorboard. Can someone tell me the dimensions of the oval foot start hole? Would also be helpful to know the approximate dimension from center of accelerator rod hole to center to foot start hole.
This should fix you up. This is from my '51 3100. That last character on the right is an "H" for height. It appears to me that both holes are centered at the same height above the bend in the floorboard.
