yes, Carter had a page about it requesting any info on it, not made by GM tho, just used Chevy truck as a base - the Eisenhauer - here's a frame shot I have, note rear axle is "self steering" - and in a history list half way down - and a newer Eisenhauer - oughta mail them and tell'em to put it back up! grin

my understanding is it was just a Chevy based thing, maybe even just a limited special order run - I don't know if anyone has any hard info on them, including Carter, who had the line drawing and was looking for info for years

"Wheels of Time" magazine (the ATHS magazine)did an article on this a couple years ago. Don't know the exact issue right now, but could look it up if anyone's interested.

There was a thread on these forums about this truck a few years ago. I thought it was just an urban legend. I thought it was probably a concept that never got built. But now I've seen pictures. Still it was probably low volume. Any other info?

Neat Truck!I saw a working Wrecker at the Baltimore Tow Truck show that had four front steers and eight rear drive wheels.I believe it was made by Oshkosh or White Truck Mfg.That is traction at it's best!!!
