1938 chevy 1.5 ton. How does it go on?? thanks! It looks like it might fit between the column and the clamp an d kind of circle around it? Pics of one would help but I cant find any..

Ok well I thought it was an extra but then noticed an old gasket material - bits -on the INSIDE of the bracket on the left. The new one had to be cut to fit and does work with a lot of manuvering. surrounds the entire steering shaft inside that clamp.
