I know chevy's quite well but not GMC's. At this yard they have 4 big old GMC's with engines in them. Is there any easy way to determine if any are a 270 or 302 ?

I'm sure you know the 302 is the #1 choice but if you have are to choose a 270, try to get one with the famous "H" head; casting number is 2193417. The 302 head casting number is 2193983.
