Hello, I just picked up another 1/2 ton pickup with a three speed. The truck is extremely clean and original with a recent complete restoration. One thing is the trannie makes a clicking sound in first gear, push in the clutch it goes away, shift to second it goes away. My other 37 doesn't have this issue and I'm wondering if it's a chipped gear. Your advance is greatly appreciated. Thanks Steve

It would be worth pulling the trans. to verify. Not worth worrying every time you take it out.

Steve Pala Would suspect a chipped gear from your explanation, better take a look before it damages .or demolishes the rest of your gear box.
