The gage cluster is finished and installed. I now have to connect the speedo cable to it. It is still attached to tranny and I just need to connect it to the receptacle. With the gages installed and wiring attach it is impossible to see (andwires ) in a real tight space. Is there a secret to inserting the square cable in the dash so it slips in correctly ? I don't want to screw in the retainer unless I am sure that the cable is inserted correctly. Working blind with my my fat meat grabber hands inside that Speggitti I'm having a heck of a time. The cable reaches but there is not a lot of slack to move it around much.

I love working under the dash..... I know of no simple solution. Cram yourself up under there and carefully insert and tighten. Even with the seat and steering wheel removed it is a challenge I dont care to undertake often.

What brand of wiring harness did you install? Would you recomend it? I'm getting to the point of thinking I need to take the leap and buy one. I have read so many different reviews it's hard to know which one. Thanks, Mark
Glad you got it. I always take the green wire for the dash light out of the socket to put in the speedo cable. makes it a little easier. Then just push the dash lights back in, they are easier to push in.
M&H is a good wiring brand, just plug and play with no need to join wires or anything. I've used them as they have nice factory look to their harnesses.
