We are cleaning out wife's Grandparents barn and found this.
Cast steel and weighs in excess of 100 pounds. I think it is railroad related, but have no idea.
It will make a good anvil though.

Somebody should know what it is?

I was going to go with cartouche swager. That's what we use those for around here. That, and for castrating pigs.
