Folks, my 50 ute has a closed torque tube which feeds the diff, is there a kit that i can use to keep existing transmission and go to an open torque tube and open diff

No kits. Most going to open differential switch the transmission out as well and customize a driveshaft to length. To keep the 3 on-the-tree you could go to a open tube Saginaw 3 speed.
Just an idea as an option, but it may not be practical, look at the construction of a 47-54 3/4 ton truck drivetrain. 2 piece driveshaft with a section closed and section open. It could be customized but the results would need to be rebalanced at a driveshaft shop.
In the end, it may be more cost effective to install an "Oakie Bushing" and seals in what you already have.

GM has solved the problem for you with the 3/4T AD Trucks which have a torque tube from transmission to center hanger bearing and then an open driveshaft from hanger bearing to rear end.

... but you'll need a crossmember to hang 18.0650 from. This drawing is from a GMC Master Parts Book, but the parts are the same as Chevy used on 3/4 and 1 ton trucks.
'57 GMC 102, Original 347 V8, HydraMatic, 3.08 rear gear, added A/C, disk front brakes, HEI, AFB carb, '98 Honda Black Currant paint. T-boned and totaled 10/12 '52 GMC 152 Stake Bed, Original 228, SM420, added A/C, HEI, disk front brakes, '67 Chev 3.55 rear gear. Gets used as a real truck.
Since you're a few thousand miles away, it's kind of hard to give good advice. LOL. I don't know what type of GM trucks were available in Australia, but from a little research, I found that Holden did use Muncie 4 speeds, like their American counterparts. The Holden Commodore V8 did also use a T5 transmission at one point too, which had the Muncie style bolt pattern. It looks like the V6 commodore used the Ford style bolt pattern. The early Toyota FJ used the Muncie style transmission too, but had different front bearing sizes and throw out bearing sizes were different, so it might be a pain getting them to work correctly.
For an open driveline rearend, I would look for a Toyota rear diff. Here in the states, the 95-05 Tacoma is about the perfect width and the 4wd axles were 6 bolt wheel pattern.
Look around for some Hot Rod shops or 4wd clubs, they can probably point you in the right direction.
So after lots of reading and research, looking at buying this adaptor kit or a similiar one that fits to the back of a stovebolt motor and allows a semi modern auto transmission to be fitted up.
