There is a room on the other side of the truck and a big tool box box on wheels that you can't see. if I need more space I just slide everything out of the way. There are also cabinets on the other side with a lot of stuff.
Any place that neat and clean would make me crazy, I'd be afraid to touch anything.

Thanks - and it not always that clean - My wife wanted a place for the family to hang out and have fun when they visit so my garage became a garage /game room.
The only shop space I’ve got. Cooled in the winter and heated in the summer.

MNSmith Have worked on mine in a big 2-car garage that is full, have never lived without a lathe, barn is packed, old barn is full, sheds are full, never get rid of anything-will need it. That is all astraddle of my HVA/C ,electrical 43 year operation. May have to unload some soon it's about to take over !!
Here’s my workshop as it currently sits. Some days I feel like I do more work ON the shop than IN the shop, but I’m finally making visible progress on the ‘49 which is nice. Frame is off to be blasted at the end of the month, then I’ll paint it and start getting it back on wheels before I start with the drivetrain and body.

I see you have a couple kayaks hanging up in your shop (which I'm jealous of, BTW).
I have a canoe hanging upside down in my single garage that's now serving as a hanging point for tools and coathangers for painting small items. It hasn't seen water in years.

Don't be jealous, we only took them out one time this summer...
We lived right by the lake in our last house, so I used them quite a bit. But now that we're further away they don't get used like they should.

I am not going to post about my paradise garage. I do not deserve it. It came with the house that our daughter found for us in NC (we moved from upstate NY in 2015/2016 after retiring). She wanted the outdoor swimming pool - she knew that the incredible garage would seal-the-deal for me. The former owner worked on stock-cars/race-cars/muscle cars.
The housing market was dead at that time - we got a good deal (but, we could have done better if I had known about how government mortgage auctions worked).
You can't tease us like this and not post it. Let's see!!

The garage that I do not deserve to have is (please forgive the length of this description - you asked for it):
48' wide and 36' deep
100 amp electrical service fully insulated HVAC system outside the left wall dumping at about 10' into a 8" long duct (no extensive ductwork) Internet service
3 bays with overhead doors 9' wide x 102" tall (a 2 floor bay) 9' wide x 96" tall (1 floor bay - storage loft above) 9' wide x 98" tall (1 floor bay - storage loft above) 4-post vehicle lift in left bay (the only thing installed by me and my relatives/neighbors/friends)
Work bench on right side "walkway" Microcomputer-desk and three tall book/document storage cabinets at rear of this side.
Work benches & upper/lower cabinets on left side and back walls.
Large standing and hanging-down storage shelves with two tool-chests in-between.
Air compressor and compressed-air plumbing throughout.
With a little help from my friends, we recently placed my father's walnut booze-bar near the refrigerator at the rear of the right bay.
As I posted earlier, I do not deserve this - my daughter found this property for me/us. I am very lucky.
Figured I'd share too. I've been trying to get a shop built for the past 18 years or so. After 5 houses in three different states I finally got one built. I could only be happier if it were bigger, lol.
My shop is 600 SF. It’s 24’ X 25’ and has a 2 post lift. All LED lighting. 110V and 220V outlets. 12’ walls and 15’ at the peak. A little cramped with 2 trucks inside but I couldn’t build any bigger with the county code. I did add a lean-to later. For your entertainment pleasure, here is a time lapse video of the construction. Took 3 workers (3 hard working guys) about 13 hrs to erect the building.

Very nice! I love the lean-to. Looks like a great use of space, especially with the lift in there too!

I like this shop too. I bet having the concrete apron helps. That is a very workable space. Will the codes enable you to enclose the lean-to someday? Should you want to put tool boxes or equipment in it...? You could always open up a 6 foot wide access on the load bearing wall to enter the lean-to by building a header to support the rafters there.
