My latest project and possibly my last will be a very nice ‘37 Chevrolet 1/2 pickup I purchase from a farm in Iowa (true). Very solid and 98% complete - OK maybe 95%. Have the house up for sale and trying to find a home with some property with a really nice garage!!! Having the time, lots of heart, lots of ambition, tons of tools, so with little money I plan to get this truck safely on the road. Just not sure if I will restore (old farm truck) or Hot Rod/Street Rod it. Like them both ways but I want to put lots of comfortable miles on and will hand ownership over to my Son as long as he puts in the time with me (he doesn’t know it yet). Been floating in and out of this site for some time now, other sites also but this one looks like it fits me best soooooooo I joined. Not very big with internet stuff but I will do the best I can to not just suck in information from you fellows but to share the tricks and general knowledge I have gained through years. Now if only I could figure out how to post photos! May take a few months before I can get serious about this truck, after all I have to sell the house, get packed up, move all this crap, get the new house ready, get all this unloaded and setup the garage, not necessarily in that order. I’m exhausted just thinking about it, I have lived in my current home for 27 years in Pennsylvania and with winter coming soon it does afford long nights to get some work done. Not sure what else there is to say about “me”. If you live near by let me know and I hope to see all of you or, some of you, on the road. Dan

You have definitely chosen well. The Stovebolt is the best website for sharing information regarding these old GM trucks. We also possess a great group of guys and gals that volunteer their time working diligently to keep the Stovebolt up to date, virus free and family friendly. Photos are not hard to do. To the far left and a bit lower on your screen, there is a guide to help you figure out how to post pics.
One thing to note, you will need to post at least 3 times to get the full benefit of this great website. I believe that helps weed out the scammers etc.
Welcome, we're glad you found us.

There are a few members here with 37' Chevy's so your not alone in your project. I was glad to read that your family is involved, it really helps to keep a project going and building memories.

Knowledge is the Best Resource and we have plenty of it here. Ask questions in the garage forums and we'll do the rest.
I had to drag my 37 home.....back in 1993 and I still have it. It is a much loved and popular design, if you can find them!

I love the style of the old cars and trucks. I’m doing a 46 1/2 ton. It was partially street rodded with lots of poor quality work. I’m finally getting it ready for the street. I’ll be looking forward to your post and progress. Good luck. George

Still having fun tearing apart and doing the behind the scenes stuff that no one appreciates watching the progress except those of us that know it has to happen. good luck as we swap notes.
Larry Old man᠁Old truck᠁neither one goes very fast. All you need in life is TIME, PATIENCE and MONEY. If you are missing one component, you'll need an abundance of the others two.
