Disclaimer, this may belong in the Spoon?

It's one pretty nice high dollar truck. I appreciate the somewhat subdued approach the builders took. The leather seats are nice, would love to see them is my old truck. And the narrative mentions a articulating, one-piece panel that folds out of the dash, hiding the "system" interesting. 440 HP seems just about right too.

Wow! Stunning! I love the subtle changes that keep all of the modern engineering in the vintage style. Also the high end amenities give this truck class. A show favorite for sure!

moparguy Well I just don't go for trailer queens much. It's just better to me to let little boys stand-up on the paint and see the action. I also find that people just like to see in there at the whole interior. 51 6400 4-link using 7/8 heim joints all home built is interesting to onlookers too.

Beautiful truck. I even like the color scheme. I've seen pics of one of Icon's builds before.

Why do I want to buy some Nitto Tecon Grappler A/T tires now? Stupid pop ups.

I'm not convinced the decision to place the "cold air" air filter in the hottest part of the engine compartment is a good idea.

Why are the bedsides kicked in at the wheel wells? For the chubby tires? That would make it pretty useless for hauling drywall I would think.

Yep, for wide tire clearance. Called tubs in the trade.

This truck would never see a sheet of drywall. It's a beautiful truck, fit and finish are perfect, not much use to most of us but it's pure eye candy.

Yes it is a beauty. And thanks for the pro terminology. I many years ago stopped by a farm on the way to work to look at an AD parked in the yard. It had cutouts in the bed to allow clearance after the owner had installed an Olds rear end for hot riding. It needed tubs.

To each their own, I suppose ... laalaa I'm glad many of you like the eyecandy.

FWIW, my 2014 daily driver doesn't have a third of the amenities of that truck. My cab is bigger, though ... wink

I'm choosing widen my fenders instead of tubbing them. I think if I go 2" ish I can get an 11.5" tire in it. I think that is a dividing line in some classes. I'm also making inner fenders for the rear using an old set of fenders. You don't want a tire coming apart at 160 mph and messing up the painted fender.

I think if a tire comes apart at 160 MPH, a messed up fender will be the least of your worries. big_eek

Yep, the big problem would be those messed up underpinnings.

What John said. I do like the truck a lot, but it's not what I would ever want for myself.

If you go to YouTube you can check Icons builds (Jonathan ward). He has about 4 or 5 trucks he's built. $250k each! He also builds broncos and some other cool stuff.

Hi guys᠁ i noticed the gas tank mod on this truck. Does it provide more seat room in the cab if you remove the tank? Or is that an illusion. Thank you.

Only if you replace the stock seat. The original seat almost touches the back of the cab when slid back all the way.
