I put the other two rear wheels/tires on today, still have to winch the spare up into the cradle, now she has 7 good tires and fresh paint/powder coat wheels.

Swapped out the rear mudflaps for some a little bigger to cover my new 10R-22.5 tires, the smaller ones are going up front to help with keeping mud from collecting on the steps and under the truck.

Not a darn thing. I'm old and retired so I have nothing to do and all day to get it done. Actually I have tons of work to do on my big bolt. Today I media blasted some parts and painted them.
Got up at 5 was gonna go swig with pals,truck doors iced shut so decided better just stay in. 51 is ailing with worn floor button linkage on the starter so need to adress that. Should change some door glass and put new fur around them,but probably just sit here and punch !!
I disassembled the Bendix Hydrovac a couple of days ago, soaked most parts in vinegar, cleaned and painted some of it and should receive the rebuild kit by Monday. It was in better condition inside than I thought it would be so I'm rebuilding it myself.

Rebuilt the SM420 and just dropped off the flywheel for facing. Made up some new washers for the valve cover. I put them somewhere, and could only find one, so I made up 4 new ones. Going to paint the engine since I have it out of the truck.

I rebuilt the Hydrovac and re-installed it today, I now have factory power brakes, it works well. I ordered the kit from Midwest Booster, they are very helpful.

The Hydrovac on my truck is a Bendix, single piston, 6.75". The tag on it says it's a 374000, I used that info when I emailed Midwest Power Brake Products, Inc. I used the email "[email protected]" and they got back with me right away. The kit had all of the soft parts and a couple of hard parts-everything was correct. They can also sleave the hydraulic cylinder with stainless if needed.

My "new" one is the one on the right. The old one is on the left. Note that the new one is longer. Somewhere along the line the truck picked up the wrong unit. It did not have sufficient capacity for six wheel cylinders.
Yes, that is the Bendix type that I have, mine is about 14" - 16" in total length and I have no problems with braking on my 2 ton with six wheel cylinders. The 2.5 ton trucks used a larger diameter but same design, I think the vacuum can on those is 9" diameter. I don't know if the hydraulic cylinder is larger for the bigger trucks.

I rebuilt my Hydrovac. I had an issue with mine - after completion it would lock the brakes up hard with no pedal application. Brakes on at all times. I ended up shortening the rod on the control diaphragm and it works now.
