For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2021 Posts: 34 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2021 Posts: 34 | Project for this week was to get the 216 running and finish the brakes! Got it running only to find I had a cracked block. Contacted the previous owner as he told me he had a rebuilt that he would sell. He told me to come and get it, no charge, but it had been seating for 9 years so no guarantees. I called him on the way down and he said he couldn't turn it over. Damaged my truck backing the trailer into his drive. Got it home. Good news.. Applied the bar to the balancer and it turned over with no problem. Valves moved fine. Put misery oil in the cylinders and let it sit. Finished the brakes. Put in the new emergency brake cable. Made the adjustments but could not get them adjusted to hold? | | | | | Joined: Dec 2014 Posts: 678 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2014 Posts: 678 | The ups and downs of the old truck hobby!
