I have a gmc302. Ive got to the stage of fitting thd head, and fitting the rockers, i have 6 small caps, do these go on top of the inlet valve stems or the exhaust valve stems. Thanks.

If you put later exhast valves in the head you don't need them. There is a correct way to install them.
