Thanks

Thanks I've seen this asked and answered several times and the consensus seems to be to hold them together during assembly. Installing them as a unit makes half as many parts to handle... time saver. | | | | Joined: Nov 2014 Posts: 76 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2014 Posts: 76 | Thanks ! just wanted to be sure

Someone had separated the front hubs and every so often the front lugs would snap off in a curve. I would keep a box of spares under the seat. | | | | Joined: May 2015 Posts: 9,830 Housekeeping (Moderator) Making a Stovebolt Bed & Paint and Body Shop Forums | Housekeeping (Moderator) Making a Stovebolt Bed & Paint and Body Shop Forums Joined: May 2015 Posts: 9,830 | Someone had separated the front hubs and every so often the front lugs would snap off in a curve.

I would be more afraid of doing that job incorrectly than snapping a lug stud on a turn.

You shouldn't have your lugs snapping -off like that, however had a 1-ton that done that changed it to 5/8 lug bolts. Then went to tubeless wheels, fixed it !! | | | | Joined: Nov 2014 Posts: 76 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2014 Posts: 76 | So should the hubs be riveted to the front drums or are they OK without rivets? I have the CCP hubs.
