What size glass setting tape should i order for my vent glass replacement project? It shows my options as 1/16", 1/32", and 1/64".
Thanks for the help.

It depends on the glass thickness.

The vent glass pieces might have been replaced already.

One way to know if you have original glass is to check for date-code "bug" etched into one of the lower corners of the glass.

Of course, a purist restorer might have already replaced those glass pieces and asked the glass supplier to put in the original "bug" codes in a different thickness replacement glass?

Measure the glass with calipers. Measure the channel with calipers. Subtract glass thickness from channel width and divide by 2. Use a tape with that thickness or a little larger. Try a short section of tape. There is no exact way to tell you. I've done several 55.2-59 windows and I think it was .045 tape. Can't remember. You are mistaken about your options. They are 1/32, 1/16, 3/64 (.045) and 5/64. Use decimal equivalents in your math.
Glass used to be 1/4 (.250) Thick, now-a-days it is made off shore and is 6mm (.236)
