Have fun. Sure will miss the bs that usually comes my way, but I am sure you can find an alternate target.

In the midst of a toad strangler of biblical proportions at HQ at the moment... So our departure is on a bit of a weather delay ...

Same here in Mechanicsville. As soon as I can get to the trailer without my floaties, I'll be loaded. But the weather looks a lot nicer for our travel day.

ODSS Winchester Attendees, I am paused due to buckets of H2O being an irritant, although ducks, amphipians, & other wet loving creatures are laughing at me as I try to leave Bel Air. As weather permits I'll finish loading my green truck & disperse. V/R, Nick

Well, once you all put your floaty‘s away and get on the road, the weather in Winchester is absolutely spectacular at the moment. Quite a night of heavy downpours I must say but the sun is shining now. We even got the grass mowed at camp Stovebolt! Safe travels and see you when you get here.

Toad Strangler is an old term I have heard since I was a kid.
Gully Washer is the one I usually use now.
Great weather is headed your way!

I stand corrected Carl, that is the way Midwestern's pronounce wash.
Same thing as the small town of Steedman is pronounced Steadman.
Don't ask me why?

Back home in great time!
Nice relaxing weekend with good friends! Food was fantastic from my nice breakfast sandwich from Pat, and superb dinner care of Josh and his meatballs, Art with that great Chili, and of course, Billy with those hamburgers! Thanks!
Billy,
Once again, “THANKS” for all of the work that you put into this weekend! It doesn’t go unnoticed!
Take care everyone!
Jim

I returned home safely. I had a great time, especially all the varied conversations with all present. I want to thank those who brought & cooked food, as it was delicious. I am looking forward to our next meet up. Pics are of unloading, the lineups, and Mike's race (slowest wins). V/r, Nick

An absolutely *epic* weekend marred only by the absence of some very dear friends. I agree with Billy -- If we had had all the ODSS stalwarts in attendance, this would have been the alltime greatest Winchester. Gorgeous/perfect weather ... Great road tripping to and from ... epic fellowship ...

For those who missed -- you were missed!

For those who made it, outstanding fellowship! Freyja and I thank you! Everyone of you made it a special weekend ... From Nick saving my life during our harrowing duty on the gate (I'll need therapy to deal with the PTSD ....), to Josh's great hospitality in offering Freyja and I a place to sleep, to Carl's ever insightful running commentary, to Jim Schmidt's generosity in supplying adult beverages to our guests (amongst many other things), to the Southern Virginia Militia (Hardshell et al) saving *everyone's* life (by administering coffee), to the Grigg's (both of 'em) class and sheer gentlemanly friendship, To Mike Roache being a first class wingman, to George's ever appreciated entertainment and example of living the dream we all aspire to, to Pat making sure we all had his very wonderful coozies and that no one went hungry, to Mike B's Jeep Therapy ... To Sweet for making a valiant effort to grace us with his inestimable fellowship amidst his crazy schedule ...

Did I forget anyone???

Oh ...

Hmmmmmm.....

Oh yeah ....

Marlow. For being the no-kidding glue that holds this event together and makes it the benchmark event all other ODSS events are judged by through his diligence in making our camp special, our chow outstanding and the total event worth attending.

You rock. ALL of you!

Thank you for a very special 4 days!

Well, I couldn't come close to saying it any better than how John did. All his notables were spot on. CORRECTION-Spot on except all that carp he said about me. I just love the Tri-State show and want everyone to have a good time smile
I would like to thank Nick and Artie for bringing firewood. We would have had a heck of a time trying to get that damp pine going without it. We might have had to borrow Scott and Kevin's Girl Scout water!
Special thanks to Pat for once again providing custom made coozies and Artie and Josh for the gourmet dishes for Saturday nights dinner.
I got to Winchester Wednesday morning and the weekend still went by in a flash. I am already looking forward to next year and hope that things are back to some sort of normalcy in country and perhaps the whole crew can be back together again.
Thanks to all that came for making the weekend a memorable one.

Great weather, great friends, great fellowship... oh, and there happened to be 301 trucks to “eyeball”! The only way to make it better would be to have 302 trucks and add some of the missing ODSS regulars. Looking forward to the next event with my brothers.

Take care,
George

And oh by the way ... I can not claim credit for "toad strangler." That is a particular bit of vernacular I picked up from NapcoMan. smile

Billy -- A very special thank you to you also for your patience with my dog ... I'm just very relieved it was the '50 and not the 860 ... eeeek

And speaking of Scotty and his honey dew vine water ... did I mention how much I look forward every year to getting bear hugged by a Sasquatch?? big_eek

Stovebolt ODSS, et. al., Geez! I've mis explained earlier pics regarding Mike's slow race entry. Here is the pic & another of "handshake" & his buddy! Well, again it was a great time with great ODSS folks. Always tough to leave midway through but as I've told y'all my wedding anniversary (26th) is always same weekend. V/r, Nick
